Kousso offers services that focus on assisting with home management and planning. We recognize that every home is different and that staying on top of home records, finances, and projects is confusing and difficult to manage. Kousso uses data entered about a home to help you more easily reference home details in the future and provide recommendations based on industry best practices. In the following sections, we seek to explain how we gather and use information to provide value to you. When you use our services to create a Kousso account and home profile, we collect a variety of standard and customized information from you. This information includes personal identification information, such as your name and email address, engagement information including which tools you use, and home-related information that you provide. 

 

The data we collect may vary depending on how you engage with the platform. As you enter home information and utilize Kousso recommendations, your home profile will contain more information. If you do not create an account or profile, we may still collect information related to your device as you browse the site.

A majority of the information we collect is contributed directly by you or other users that have access to one or more of your Kousso home profiles. As you use Kousso services, we will often ask you questions and give you opportunities to enter information about yourself and your home. Below are some examples of what kind of information we collect and how we collect it.

When creating a Kousso account or subscribing to paid services, Kousso and our partners may collect personal identification information including your name, physical address, email address, and credit card information.

When creating and completing a Kousso home profile, we allow users to input and upload information about a specific property including physical address, documents, photos, material types, appliances, mortgage information, and other materials related to a residence. Kousso will suggest entering information commonly associated with a property and also allows entry of custom attributes at the user’s discretion. It is your responsibility to obtain permission to upload or enter any information owned by any third party.

Like other services, Kousso may collect information about the device or browser used to access Kouso services. This information may include pages visited, linking to or from external web sites, and the IP address of visitors to count and track visitors.

Kousso may leverage various tools and third party analytics tools when you visit our site and use our services including cookies and similar technologies. Cookies are pieces of data that may be used to identify your browser for tracking and account management purposes. As you use Kousso, we and our partners may use cookies to gather information about how you use our services to create a more convenient experience while using our site. You may disable cookies at any point by adjusting the settings on your browser. Kousso utilizes your provided information to make recommendations and inferences about your property based on common industry best practices and knowledge. We may automatically generate and store this information with your Kousso home profile like other collected elements of Property Information.

When you create a Kousso account, we collect and store your identification information in order to identify you and retrieve your information in the future. We also allow you to enter property information to create an organization and data management service for you to easily retrieve entered property information as desired in the future.

We also use your provided property information to generate suggestions and inferences based on common industry knowledge and best practices to aid in general home management and planning.

We utilize the contact information you provide us to communicate with you about our services. This includes notifications about your subscriptions and account as well as home management reminders. 

We may also utilize provided property information to provide you with specialized product or service offerings from authorized partners that we believe you may find valuable. 

As part of Kousso services, you may invite other users to access one or more of your Kousso home profiles. When you invite another user to access a profile, we may share provided property information with that user.

Kousso may also share aggregated, generalized property information with authorized partners to receive and provide specialized product or service offerings to home profile subscribers. When sharing information with authorized partners, we do not share personal identification information or property identification information so that shared information may not reasonably be used to identify you.

When using Kousso services, we may provide you with controls regarding our collection and use of personal account information, subscriptions, and communications. You will also have access to all property information that you have previously provided for a Kousso home profile and may add, update, or remove this property information from the profile.

You have the right to know what information about you we have stored, update the information about you we have stored, have us delete the information we have about you, or to opt out of future contact from us. We retain personal data if reasonably necessary to comply with legal or regulatory obligations, defend our rights, or maintain security.

Kousso seeks to protect the information provided. We have built security measures to protect against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction of data managed by Kousso. We seek to continually improve the security of our services and take reasonable measures to respond to identified threats. As internet transmission and data storage technologies cannot guarantee the security of all data, we will notify as soon as possible if anything should happen to the information you have provided.
